
Damon Vallero grew up in South Africa and first got hooked into making electronic music when some friends bought a synthesiser. Impressed with the sound that the machine could produce he and soon after bought his first synth, sequencer and drum machine. Together with a friend they produced two demo tracks and three months later were signed to a record label. Soon after there was techno!
Damon runs the Electracom label and has recorded under various guises, namely Auto Union, Bioscope Man and F-Controller. Electracom started in 1996 with the first Auto Union release and was initially a platform for Damonís own tracks. However over the past few years various artists have recorded for the label, predominantly Japanese techno producer Takaaki Itoh who is now emerged as a major talent with a
unique style and growing plaudits. Others include Bob Brown, Hiroaki Iizuka, Inigo Kennedy, Patrik Skoog, Tuomas Rantanen, Kuniaki Takenaga, and Supagrupa. Damonís releases have been played out by the likes of Luke Slater, Ritchie Hawtin, Dave Angel and Dave Clarke among others. He has recorded for Flatline Recordings, Exhibit, Dark House Music and Coda has upcoming releases on , Infecta Records (Spain) and Maracas (Sweden).
Damon also DJís and has played in the UK, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia and Germany. His style is hard minimal and funky and he loves playing in Eastern Europe where crowd reactions are second to none. Damon also playís live and performed at the 4,000 strong Svojsice outdoor festival in the Czech Republic in the summer of 2002 alongside DJís Cari Lekebusch and Damon Wild.
