Benjamin Arend - born in 1981 in San Francisco - has always had his own taste in music. Back in the day, when his classmates still sang along to the Disney soundtracks, he listened to the works of Wagner and Beethoven and learned how to play the violin. It wasn’t until the age of 14 that he discovered pop music, which quickly led him to develop a taste for trance and rave music. At the age of 18, he began to visit the local techno clubs in Frankfurt and a few months later, after a tragic turn of events in his life, Dj Amok was born.

He started to produce his own tracks, spreading them across the internet and creating his own impression of techno - the sound he is known for today: extremely hard, aggressive, thundering techno dedicated to making the people go wild. As a Dj he tries to explore the limits of just how far he can take the audience. He has released tracks on Giga-Music and Highball and has since, rocked dancefloors all over Europe. He has several more releases in the pipeline planned for labels like Kne’Deep, Giga-Music, Highball and his own label, Artillery.
