Matt Blak was born in London in 1979 and discovered his musical roots when attending outdoor techno parties in the UK as a teenager. He started Djing at 16, and a year later started producing basic tracks on a simple drum machine. Over the years since, Matt has taken his talent further. 2001 saw him acquire a residency at Era, where he played sets alongside artist's such as The Advent, Ben Long, Steve Glencross, Jamie Ball & Terry Mitchell, to name but a few. Further bookings saw him headlining Technologic in Ireland and playing a second date warming up for Chris Liebing, drawing a crowd of near 1000 people. He has also played live alongside Sven Wittekind on his UK debut at Locked in 2004.

Matt has built his own studio at home where he now produces all of his current works, and has now started his own label called E'poch Worx, and has released tracks from artists such as Dj Amok, Mhonolog, Jamie Bissmire, Ben Long, Dj Bam Bam, Paul Langley and Jay Knight. He is now mostly playing live sets instead of Djing, incorporating modern day technology to produce his own individual sound. Matt uses a combination of analogue and digital equipment fusing classics like the original Roland TR909 drum machine with creative software such as Reason to devastating effect.
